One morning, after doing a beach shoot for a little boutique out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, my model was chilly and pulled on a white turtleneck sweater to warm up. Seeing the way the sky was bouncing off the water and the clean white of her sweater, I asked her to get in the ocean. The photos were so beautiful and so sincere that for the last 5 years I have been following people into the ocean with my camera. I love the connection; standing in the ocean with someone like that. It is a once in a lifetime moment. These portraits work great in modeling portfolios as well as senior and maternity portraits.
